How Landas works, and how to reach us.

Why do I only get one result?

That is the whole point. Landas exists because choosing between four acceptable coffee shops is the tiring part. It applies your requirements, ranks what survives, and commits to the best one. If you do not like it, one tap gives you a different one — but never a list to compare.

Can I see the places it rejected?

No. Showing the shortlist would turn Landas back into the directory it was built to replace.

What do "verified" and "likely" mean?

Verified means the place data confirms the fact — opening hours, for instance. Likely means Landas inferred it from public descriptions and could not confirm it. Anything you state as a hard requirement must be verified, or the place is excluded; Landas will not quietly downgrade a requirement to produce an answer.

It said nothing matched. Why?

Because nothing nearby cleared the bar you set. Landas will offer to widen the search rather than stretch your limit behind your back.

Why does the needle not follow the streets?

Landas points toward the place in a straight line. It is a compass, not turn-by-turn navigation. Check crossings and traffic yourself, and hand off to your maps app whenever you want a real route.

The compass seems wrong.

Heading comes from the iPhone's magnetometer, which drifts near metal, vehicles, and magnets — including some phone cases. Move away from large metal objects and wave the phone in a figure-eight to recalibrate. Indoors, expect it to be less reliable.

What languages does it understand?

Requests can be typed in English, Filipino, or a mix of the two. Dictation works wherever your keyboard does.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and nothing to log into.

How do I clear my data?

Everything Landas keeps is on your iPhone. One tap in the app's settings clears recent searches, rejected places, and preferences. Deleting the app removes them too. See the privacy page for the full list.

Something is broken, or I have an idea.

Email hello@landas.app. Tell us what you asked for and what happened — there is no account, so that description is all we have to go on.
